Case 175 - Discussion

Hematopathology Case

CD45

CD45

The tumor cells are large in size and have irregular nuclei with fine chromatin and occasional small nucleoli. They are positive for B-cell markers with a high proliferative index by Ki67, therefore most likely representing a large B-cell lymphoma. However, a cyclin D1 immunostaining may be necessary to rule a polymorphic mantle cell lymphoma, which could have similar morphology.
