Circulating follicular lymphoma cells are occasionally noted in
the peripheral blood and are few in number; In rare
cases, a marked lymphocytosis may be present;
The lymphoma cells are medium size, which are slightly larger than normal
mature lymphocytes. They typically have very irregular nuclei with deep clefts,
grooves or folds. The chromatin is moderately condensed with
inconspicuous nucleoli. The cytoplasm is scant.
