Clinical Information

 

A 53-year-old male had a soft tissue tumor in his right calf.

Gross Description

 

The specimen consisted of a well-circumscribed and encapsulated tumor, measuring 4.0 3.0 2.5 cm. The outer surface of the tumor was smooth, shiny and unremarkable. The capsule of the nodule measures 0.1 to 0.3 cm thick. Sectioning through the specimen reveal homogeneous pink and red soft tissue with focal degenerative changes.
