METASTATIC RENAL CLEAR CELL CARCINOMA

The tumor shows glandular nests of tumor cells with central necrosis.  The tumor cells are large and polygonal, with abundant clear eosinophilic cytoplasm.  The tumor cells show strong positive immunohistochemical staining with Vimentin and CD10, focal strong reaction to RCC, but are negative for CK20 and CD117.  The colloid iron staining is negative. These features support a diagnosis of metastatic clear cell type renal cell carcinoma.
