Case 76 - Discussion

Uploaded: 2009-02-24, Updated: 2009-02-24

Diagnosis: classic Hodgkin lymphoma

Comment: so excited to see many classic RS cells on one slide. Not sure about the subtype, MC vs NS. The capsule of the lymph node is thin without well-circumscribed sclerotic nodule although focal poorly defined fibrosis is present. The tumor cells are mostly scattered in a mixed background with lymphocytes and eosinophils, and focally the tumor cells are in sheets within a hyalinized fibrotic background.
