Kikuchi's Lymphadenitis
Asian young women
Common location: cervical lymph node
Forme fruste of SLE
Self-limiting
Micro:
Poorly demarcated, patchy necrosis with the paracortex
Abundant karyorrhectic debris
Cresentic histiocytes, plasmacytoid monocytes, and T-cells (mostly CD8+)
No neutrophils or plasma cells
DDX: cat scratch disease – neutrophilic abscess
