Follicular Lymphoma Cells in Peripheral Blood

  • Circulating follicular lymphoma cells are occasionally noted in the peripheral blood and are few in number; In a small number of cases, an absolute lymphocytosis is present.

  • The lymphoma cells are typically slightly larger than normal mature lymphocytes and have deep cleft nuclei, smooth condensed chromatin and scant cytoplasm.
