Kaposi’s Sarcoma, HHV8 Positive
Low power impression:
Well-demarcated subcutaneous nodule with intact epidermis;
Tumor is rich in vascular supply.
High power impression:
Tumor consists of oval- or spindle-shaped cells with coarse nuclei and prominent nucleoli. No mitotic phase noted;
Tumor contains prominent slit-like vascular spaces formed by new, thin-walled and partly aberrant blood vessels;
Extravasated RBC around the new vessels.
