Clinical Information
  70 year-old female, pancreatic tumor
Gross Description
 

The specimen consists of a resected spleen and a partial pancreas. The spleen measures 17.0 x 12.0 x 4.5 cm. The surface of the spleen is smooth and unremarkable. The pancreatic specimen measures 14.0 x 12.0 x 9.0 cm, and the surface is smooth and distorted by multiple larger nodules. Sectioning through the spleen is unremarkable. Sectioning through the pancreatic specimen reveals a tumor with solid and polycystic areas. The cut surface of the solid area is pale-tan and yellow measuring 8.0 x 4.5 cm. The largest cyst measures 4.0 x 3.5 cm and consists of brown-tan gelatinous material.
