| 79 YEAR-OLD, MALE, SOFT TISSUE MASS, RIGHT THIGH | ||
| Gross Description | ||
| The specimen consists of one resected skin ellipse and attached subcutaneous tissue totally measuring 11.0 x 6.0 x 4.0 cm. The skin ellipse measures 9.5 x 4.8 cm. The surface of the skin has an old scar measuring 6.8 cm long. The skin surface is otherwise unremarkable. The margins are inked in black. The specimen is serially dissected. Upon opening the specimen, there is a well demarcated nodule measuring 4.0 x 3.5 x 3.5 cm. The cut surface of the nodule is pink-yellow and soft. The tumor is just underneath the epidermis and 0.7 cm to the deep margin and 0.3 cm to the closest lateral margin. | ||
