| 40 year-old female, left femoral tumor. | ||

GROSS DESCRIPTION |
||
|
The specimen consists of a 47.0 cm long femur. The distal end is bisected longitudinally to reveal a large intramedullary tumor close to distal end of femur. The tumor has nodular cartilaginous appearance with focal myxoid areas. It spans the entire diameter of the lower femur and measures 12.0 x 4.0 x 4.0 cm. The tumor appears to permeate the overlying cortical bone in some areas. |
