| CLINICAL INFORMATION | ||
| 45 year-old male. Soft tissue tumor, right anterior thigh. | ||
| GROSS DESCRIPTION | ||
| The specimen consists of one large portion of red-brown skeletal muscle, 28.0 x 18.0 x 5.0 cm in dimension. On palpation, a firm large nodule is present within the specimen and the margin overlying it is inked black. Sectioning through the specimen reveals a well defined multilobular 9.0 x 6.0 x 8.0 cm pink-tan tumor with focal cystic areas. The lesion shows bosselation on the cut surfaces and focal calcifications are present. No areas of hemorrhage or necrosis are seen. | ||
