CLINICAL INFORMATION

  65 year-old male. Right kidney tumor.

GROSS DESCRIPTION

 

The kidney with perinephric adipose tissue measuring 15.0 x 11.0 x 6.5 cm in greatest dimension and weighs 492 grams. Bi-valved kidney revealed multilobulated mass in the upper pole which measures 7.0 x 6.0 x 6.0 cm. The mass is well demarcated. The cut surface is yellow-tan, heterogenous with cystic degeneration. The tumor is limited in the renal capsule with a pushing border. The tumor is noted inside of the renal vein at the margin.
