CLINICAL INFORMATION

  58 year-old African American female. Pending more Hx.

GROSS DESCRIPTION

  The liver weighs 5100 grams, and the external surface is distorted by numerous nodules. The cut surfaces reveal numerous pale-yellow nodules ( the largest one 8.5 7.0 cm) that occupy 40% of the parenchyma. Several small white nodules are noted on the pleural surface, largest one 1.5 1.0 cm. A white-tan mass is close to the pancreatic head with a sandpaper-like cut surface, and the parenchyma of the pancreas is otherwise unremarkable.
     
 
  Liver A nodule close to pancreatic head with a sandpaper-like cut-surface.
