Surgical Pathology Case


  68 year-old female. Incidentally found to have a lung nodule one year ago, multiple biopsies and BALs were negative for malignancy.



The specimen consists of one wedge resection of lung measuring 3.5 0.8 0.5 cm and weighs 7.5 grams. Serial sections through the specimen reveals one well demarcated, gray nodule measuring 1.3 1.5 cm.
