CLINICAL INFORMATION

  63-year-old female, abdominal mass and ascites.

GROSS DESCRIPTION

 

The specimen consists of a distorted uterus measuring 11.0 cm from cervix to fundus, 8.0 cm from cornu to cornu and 6.0 cm in anteroposterior dimension. The specimen weighs 205 grams. Upon bivalving the uterus, the endometrial cavity is distended and filled with a 4.5 4.0 2.5 cm partially necrotic polypoid mass that is attached by a stalk to the uterine fundus.
