| The 1320 grams mastectomy specimen measures 27.0 cm from medial to lateral margins, 17.0 cm from superior to inferior, 6.5 cm from anterior to posterior. The surface of the skin is grossly unremarkable. The nipple is grossly inverted and the breast tissue surrounding the nipple is firm. Serial sectioning through the specimen reveals multiple, poorly circumscribed solid, white-tan areas with the largest one measuring 6.5 cm in greatest dimension and is free of necrosis or hemorrhage. | |
