CLINICAL INFORMATION

  67-year-old male with recent enlarged left neck mass.

GROSS DESCRIPTION

 

The 6.5 6.0 5.7 cm oval resection specimen has a relatively smooth external surface. Upon opening the specimen, it reveals a unilocular cyst containing slightly cloudy pink-yellow fluid. The cystic wall is homogenously thin, <0.2 cm in thickness, except a 0.6 0.4 0.3 cm nodule in the cystic wall. The inner surface of the cyst is smooth.
