Surgical Pathology Case


  77-year-female, gallbladder lesion.



The specimen consists of a stony hard gallbladder measuring 6.0 4.5 4.0 cm. Opening shows two yellow, round stones measuring 4.0 2.0 1.5 cm in aggregate. The mucosa shows yellow, cheesy material.

  Microscopic examination of the specimen shows chronic inflammation without evidence of atypia or malignancy.
