CLINICAL INFORMATION

 

A 63-year-old Caucasian male was found to have a cystic squamous cell carcinoma of the right neck (case 295). A tonsillectomy was performed 2 weeks later.

 

GROSS DESCRIPTION

 

The right tonsillectomy specimen consists of a fragment of tan soft tissue measuring 3.0 x 2.0 x 0.7 cm with a tan-pink and solid cut surface.
