Surgical Pathology Case



A 81 years old male recently noted increasing difficulty in passing bowel movements which are string-like. Evaluation suggested an anal margin mass and anal stenosis. Colonoscopy negative for any lesion. A biopsy of the anal lesion was performed.



The specimen consists of a skin ellipse measuring 2.2 x 1.4 x 0.5 cm with a 1.1 cm central lesion measuring 1.1 cm.
