| CLINICAL INFORMATION | ||
| A 52-year-old male, who in workup for preparation of left hand surgery, was found to have an abnormal chest x-ray, leading to a CT scan that showed a 2.6 cm speculated lesion in the superior segment of the right upper lobe, which was suspicious for carcinoma. | ||
| GROSS DESCRIPTION | ||
| The segmentectomy specimen measures 8.5 × 3.0 × 1.0 cm and weighs 26.2 grams. Serially sectioning through the specimen reveals a well demarcated mass measuring 2.0 in greatest dimension. The mass is 0.2 cm underneath the pleural surface. | ||
