Charcot-Leyden Crystals

 

  • Seen in eosinophilic inflammation: allergic reactions, parasitic infections and asthma

  • Vary in size, up to 50 Ám in length

  • Slender and pointed at both ends

  • Consist of lysophospholipase, from breakdown of eosinophils
