Chondroblastoma

  • Benign cartilage tumor, painful

  • 20-30 yo, M > F ~ 2:1

  • Epiphysis of long bone, femur, tibia, humerus

  • X-ray: lytic, eccentric or central, sclerotic ring

  • Histopathology:

    • Mononuclear cells, well-defined cell boarder, oval/spindle, cobblestone, eosinophilic cytoplasm, grooves (histiocytic-like)

    • Cartilage matrix, pink to blue

    • Often see MNGC

    • Lace-like calcification

    • Secondary ABC changes
